Ronica V. Reddick is set to take on the role of Ardelia Mapp in Silence! The Musical beginning June 1 at the 9th Space Theatre at PS 122. Reddick, who replaces Deidre Goodwin, will join previously announced incoming cast member Shuler Hensley as Dr. Hannibal Lecter.
In Silence! The Musical, the unauthorized parody of the Oscar-winning film The Silence of the Lambs, rookie FBI agent Clarice Starling matches wits with the brilliant but insane cannibal, Dr. Hannibal Lecter, to catch the serial killer known only as Buffalo Bill. Clarice faces her own demons while racing the clock to unlock Lecter’s clues before another innocent girl is killed and skinned by Buffalo Bill. The show features a book by Hunter Bell, music and lyrics by Jon and Al Kaplan, and direction and choreography by Christopher Gattelli.
Reddick's credits include The Jerusalem Syndrome and The Underwear Musical at NYMF and Dancing with Abandon and Jonestown at FringeNYC. She has appeared on film in Sexual Dependency and Sex and the City 2.
The cast of Silence! currently stars David Garrison as Hannibal Lecter, Jenn Harris as Clarice Starling, Stephen Bienskie as Buffalo Bill and Annie Funke as Catherine Martin, as well as Callan Bergman, Pamela Bob, Harry Bouvy, Ashlee Dupre, Howard Kaye, Topher Nuccio and Doug Trapp.
